SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE PROGRAMS HANOVER
THE CARE YOU WANT WHEN YOU NEED IT.
Our program provides children with age-appropriate
social, recreational, and educational activities. Students
are provided with a quiet area to do homework. School
Age Child Care staff provide homework assistance to
those needing help. Several centers are offered each day
in which students can choose what they would like to do.
Center activities include but are not limited to block play,
dramatic play, science activities, creative arts, cultural
activities, and library. Gross motor play is scheduled daily.
Children are provided a nutritious breakfast and afternoon
snack.

can be customized for your family?s needs.

School Day Out services children aged 5- 12 years

6:30AM-6PM
BEFORE CARE (6:30 AM to start of school)
Alloway Creek Before Care is held at the elementary school. Clearview,
Hanover Street, and Washington students receive care at our North
Hanover facility. Washington students are transported to school by
HPSD transportation. All other students are transported to school by the
YMCA.
AFTER CARE (end of school-6PM)
Alloway Creek and Conewago Township After Care is held at the
elementary schools. Baresville, Park Hills, and Conewago Township
students are transferred by the YMCA to the North Hanover facility for
aftercare, and West Manheim students are dropped off at the South
Hanover facility by SWSD transportation. Hanover Street and
Washington students are transported by the YMCA to Clearview
Elementary School for aftercare.

SCHOOL DAY OUT
School Day Out is offered to help when schools are closed. This
program is held at the North Hanover and Gettysburg YMCA. Morning
and afternoon snacks will be provided, however, children must bring a
packed a lunch. Children should also come with a swimsuit and towel for
aquatics programming in our pool. Register at customer service desk.
Program operates pending sufficient enrollment.
Financial Assistance
The YMCA accepts PA Child Care subsidy Scholarship vouchers.
Vouchers must accompany all registrations. Families who do not
receive voucher assistance may apply for YMCA financial assistance
for school age care. Financial assistance forms can be submitted
online at www.hanoverymca.org. Please allow 2- 4 weeks for
processing completed applications. Funds for YMCA financial
assistance are made available through contributions to the Annual
Campaign.
