YOUTH SPORTS
We believe playing, learning and having fun is the most important part of participating in youth sports. All programs are co-ed and led
by volunteer coaches, unless otherwise noted. Participants will practice once during the week with games on the weekends. Practice
days, times and location will be sent by the Sports Department prior to the start of each season. All players will receive themed sports
specific team jerseys prior to the first games.
*Players may ?play up?but not down in divisions.
Fall I Youth Rec Sports Leagues

Grades 3?5 (co-ed), 6?8 Beginner/Intermediate
(co-ed), & 6?8 Advanced (co-ed), High School
9-12 (Girls Only)
Leagues: U4, U6, U8, U10, U12, U14 NORTH
Ages 5-15
Location: outdoor fields at the North Y (all co-ed)
Usually Mon/Tues but could change depending on
volunteer coaches
Practice could take place at any location
depending on volunteer coaches. Games take
place inside basketball gym at South Y.

Includes MLS or UEFA-themed soccer jersey and
socks.

Time: 5:30-6:30pm; Location: outdoor at South Y
Youth Cross-Country Program is for boys and girls
ages 5 - 15 who enjoy running and want to
improve their abilities. Participants will practice
twice per week with an instructor and hold an end
of season meet at the last practice of the season.

Includes free registration for Snacktown Runfest
5K held in October and receive a race shirt for $10.

Girls Field Hockey Academy is for girls in grades K ?
2. Led by Holly Long, participants will learn the
fundamental skills to prepare players for league
play. Coach Long is the former Head Varsity Field
Hockey Coach at Southwestern and is excited to
bring her knowledge of the game to the youth.
Practices: Aug 24- Oct 9
Games: Sept 5- Oct 10
(No Practices Sept 7)
